Was just gifted a very large amount from the plant in our garden. Started two giant jars with almond and castor oil today. Will be drying the rest. Wonderful ally! Watch out for her prickly hairs. They don't exactly "hurt", but the feeling is very annoying. It totally squicks me out.

Harvested quite a few more dandelions today. Won't be long and I will have enough for myself, then I will be posting them for sale. They are coming straight out of our organic garden. Good medicine for sure! Bless their little dandelion hearts.

Wild Food for Wild Humans

The Feral Kitchen takes you on a journey from soil to plate where will be foraging for the very best wild produce found in the temperate rain forests and backyards of the Pacific Northwest. Learn to cook exciting modern wild food dishes and indulge in the ultimate foragers feast.

I'll identify, photograph, and create recipes with common native and invasive weeds, snuffle for truffles, fish the lakes and rivers, collect seeds, create feral food forest gardens, build natural walking labyrinths and altars in unexpected places, craft luscious body care and medicinal goodies, make art, and listen to the wisdom of the land and its colorful creatures.

I'll also be posting cooked, as well as raw food recipes made with organic produce straight from our gardens and purchased from farmers markets.

Never eat anything from the wild without first consulting an expert! Educate yourselves, forage responsibly, and have fun with The Feral Kitchen.
